We are Leena, Mary, and Hunter on Travel.
Hello, and welcome to our travel blog! We are a foodie family of three and we love traveling and eating our way around the world.
Before we had Leena (our 4-year-old) traveling was much easier. But let's face it, once you add kids into the equation, getting around becomes way harder, especially if you want to travel for food.
There's so much more to consider with young children, like nap times, walking distances, car seats, and of course the picky eating. Forget about waiting an hour in line for that hot new restaurant, the kids aren't going to stand for it. Even the fanciest and tastiest bites of steak and lobster are wasted on their young pallet. Leena won't even let king crab pass her lips!
That's why we wanted to start this blog, to share our experiences and challenges of traveling as a young family. We've come to accept this new reality and we need to adapt to it. Finding activities that Leena will enjoy, and restaurants with food she'll actually eat.
Traveling with kids can still be a blast, and it's super fulfilling to explore new places with them. You just need a bit of extra planning along the way, and sometimes no plan at all!
